HELPFUL ANSWERS

Before you decide.

Before we start

How much does a Shopify project cost?

It depends on the work. After a short discussion, I send a written price and scope. A small fix costs less than a custom build.

How long does it take?

A small fix can take a few days; a full store often takes weeks. We agree specific dates in the scope.

What do you need from me?

Your store link or product idea, brand assets where available and the problem you want solved.

Do you work outside Nigeria?

Yes. I work with clients across time zones and keep decisions in writing.

During the build

Will my live store go offline?

No, not for ordinary theme development. I build on a draft and switch only after approval. Migrations may need a separately planned cutover.

Do I need to share my password?

No. Use appropriate Shopify access permissions that you can revoke later.

How do I see progress?

I share preview links and milestone updates while a project is active.

What if I want additional features?

Small within-scope adjustments can be discussed. New features receive a separate written estimate.

After launch

Who owns the custom theme work?

Ownership and any third-party licenses are stated in the agreement. Completed custom deliverables transfer according to that agreement.

Can my team make changes?

Yes, editable theme sections and handover notes are part of the scope.

What if something breaks?

The agreed bug-fix window covers issues in work I delivered. Additional work is quoted separately.

About Shopify

Do I need Shopify Plus?

Many storefront and B2B tasks work on lower plans. Custom apps containing Shopify Function APIs require Plus, and some other features have restrictions.

Should we use an app or custom code?

If a reliable app fits, I recommend it. Custom code is useful for special rules or when an app does not work.

Will migration affect Google rankings?

Proper redirects and content checks reduce the risk, but no one can guarantee rankings during a platform move.

My Shopify Scripts stopped working. Can you help?

Yes. Shopify Scripts were deactivated on June 30, 2026. We can map the old rules to supported alternatives.

Are you part of Shopify?

No. MACHO is an independent developer brand and is not owned or operated by Shopify.
